Instant Pot Air Fried Chicken

Whole chicken, pressure cooked and finished in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1 3-4 lb whole organic chicken
  • Spice Mix Recipe
  • 1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and Pepper

Directions

Step 1

Pat the chicken skin and cavity dry. Remove excess fat.

Step 2

Grind spices with mortar and pestle. Sprinkle all over the chicken, inside and out. Rub until completely covered.

Step 3

Place chicken on the instant pot rack with handles up. Pour chicken broth into the pot and place the rack on top. Pressure cook on high for 8 minutes per lb. Use quick release method.

Step 4

Remove pressure cooker lid and place chicken onto a plate. Pour remaining liquid into a container. Place chicken rack back into the pot and season with olive oil, salt and pepper. Air fry for 10 minutes per side, or until crispy.
